WNAM REPORT: An international roundtable discussion took place jointly with the Development Strategy Center and representatives of the Marmara Group Strategic and Social Research Foundation of Türkiye.
The event “Organization of Turkic States and Prospects for Uzbekistan – Türkiye Strategic Partnership” was opened by the Executive Director of the Center, Eldor Tulyakov.
“Uzbekistan became a member of the Organization of Turkic States in 2019”, says Mr. Tulyakov. “In 2022, the successful chairmanship of Uzbekistan in the Organization of Turkic States and the effective organization of summits with the participation of the leaders of the member states of this organization opened a new page in the foreign policy and multilateral diplomacy of Uzbekistan”.
The event participants exchanged views on the prospects of Uzbekistan – Türkiye strategic relations and cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States.
The parties agreed to develop cooperation and actively work within the framework of the two countries’ leading think tanks and international institutions.
