WNAM MONITORING: From November 13 to 15, Turkmenistan will host the “Gorkut ata” International Film Festival, the opening and closing ceremonies of which will be held at the Mukamov Palace of the State Cultural Center of the country. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister M. Mammedova during a government meeting.
Within the framework of the festival, a meeting of filmmakers from TURKSOY member states is planned at the “Ashgabat” hotel. Screenings of competition films will be organized at three venues: the “Ashgabat” cinema and the “Turkmenistan” and “Watan” cinema and concert centers, reported the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
The program of the event also includes master classes for students of the Turkmen State Institute of Culture with the participation of foreign filmmakers. Excursions to the sights of Ashgabat and its environs will be organized for the guests of the festival.
