WNAM REPORT: On December 10, 2024, a significant meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan between Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov and Executive Director of the UN Security Council Counter-Terrorism Committee Natalia Gherman, during which issues of international cooperation in the field of countering terrorism and ensuring regional security were discussed in detail.
During the meeting, Natalia German was awarded the jubilee medal of Turkmenistan “Magtymguly Pyragynyň 300 ýyllygyna” and commemorative signs in recognition of her significant contribution to the development of constructive cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UN. German highly praised Turkmenistan’s commitment to regional peace and security, particularly emphasizing the country’s efforts in the fight against terrorism.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov confirmed the country’s readiness to continue close cooperation with the UN to resolve pressing transnational issues. The parties also reaffirmed their commitment to strategic cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United Nations.
