WNAM MONITORING: At the intersection of tradition and innovation, in the heart of Central Asia, Uzbekistan, famous for its cultural heritage and diversity of natural landscapes, is preparing to try on a new role – to become a center of attraction for lovers of eco-, ethno-, agro- and gastro-tourism.

In particular, in Parkent district of Tashkent region, an ambitious project MSA Resort is being implemented, intended to reflect the region’s tourism potential. The project offers guests the opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich traditions of the people of this area and opens up new possibilities for tourism development. This promising project emphasizes the growing importance of sustainable development and cultural exchange in the modern world.

The construction of the complex, which began in 2024, is scheduled for completion in 2025. As part of the project, about 350 jobs will be created, which will positively impact the economic development of the region. This and much more were discussed during the presentation of the MSA Resort project, which was held today in Tashkent.

At an event with the participation of media representatives, the head of MSA Family Winery Sanjar Mirakhmedov emphasized that thanks to the attention paid by the country’s leadership to the tourism industry, various types of tourism are currently actively developing.

The complex is focused on the development of several key areas: agriculture, gastro-, ethno- and agro-tourism, as well as modern production of grapes and other agricultural products with high added value. In addition, as part of the further development of the viticulture sector, cooperation with local farmers is planned. This picturesque place will become a center that will unite the rich Uzbek culture, unique natural landscapes, and modern infrastructure.

The MSA Resort project will include multifunctional venues for public events with the capacity to accommodate over 1,000 people at a time, including open-air areas for recreation and entertainment, a yurt camp decorated in the ethnic style of the region’s people, as well as a hotel, restaurant, tasting room, eco-cafe and petting zoo. The complex, aimed at developing wine culture in the country, will introduce visitors to the history of viticulture and winemaking in Central Asia and a visit to a center dedicated to historical and cultural heritage.

The project under discussion aims to attract about 20 thousand tourists a year, making the new resort one of the most visited complexes in the region. According to forecasts, the economic effect of import substitution, which will amount to about $1 million annually, will be mainly due to the activities of the MSA Family Winery, which produces products according to European standards. The winery, which has won numerous awards at international competitions, presents Uzbek wine in a wine museum in France since 2022.

The MSA Resort complex will not only become a tourist attraction but also embody a symphony of taste, natural beauty, and cultural exchange, offering a unique opportunity to experience and adopt the rich heritage of Uzbekistan. The resort’s potential for eco-, ethno-, agro- and gastro-tourism is difficult to overestimate, as it opens up new horizons for residents and the international community. MSA Resort will inevitably become a center of cultural ties. It will allow Uzbekistan to strengthen its position on the world tourism map while supporting local producers and stimulating economic growth. This is not just a new stage in developing the tourism industry, but also a powerful incentive for preserving and enhancing the country’s cultural heritage and natural resources.
