(WNAM Monitoring): The State Concern Türkmenhimiýa and Japan’s Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd have signed two contracts, Turkmenistan’s embassy in Japan announced on Sunday.
The sides signed these agreements during the Turkmen delegation’s working visit to Tokyo led by the Chairman of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of Turkmenistan, Rahymberdy Jepbarov, from December 13 to 16 this year.
According to the report, the contracts aim to execute maintenance projects for a plant producing petrol from natural gas in Ahal province.
The Turkmen delegation also held several productive meetings, including a joint meeting with the members of the Turkmen-Japanese Committee on Economic Cooperation and bilateral talks with heads of Japanese government agencies, organisations, financial institutions, and leading Japanese companies.
During the visit to Tokyo, representatives of Turkmenistan’s aviation departments met with their Japanese counterparts to discuss the establishment of direct flights between the two countries.
As a result of the meetings, the sides signed three (3) important documents, indicating the high interest of both parties in cooperation.
