ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT): Expressing grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the Azerbaijan plane crash, UBG Secretary General Zafar Bakhtawari and Chairman Clean and Green Islamabad Movement, former ICCI President Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, met with Azerbaijan’s Ambassador, Khazar Farhadov, in Islamabad. The crash occurred near the Kazakh city of Aktobe, claiming 38 lives and leaving 29 injured.
During the meeting, Zafar Bakhtawari and Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, accompanied by ICCI Executive Committee members Raja Naveed Akhtar Satti, Shah Faisal, and Fatima Hassan, expressed deep condolences and conveyed heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved families. Speaking with Ambassador Farhadov, they said, “This tragedy is not only a loss for Azerbaijan but for the entire world. In this time of sorrow, we stand with the people and government of Azerbaijan.”
Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari also penned his sentiments in the condolence book placed at the Azerbaijan Embassy. He wrote, “The loss of precious lives in the Azerbaijan plane crash has deeply saddened our hearts. Our heartfelt sympathies are with the affected families. The people of Pakistan stand in solidarity with Azerbaijan in this moment of grief.”
Ambassador Khazar Farhadov appreciated the condolences and support extended by Zafar Bakhtawari and Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, stating, “The brotherly relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan have always been strong, and your support during such moments gives us solace.”
The meeting also included discussions on the aftermath of the tragedy and the ongoing relief efforts. Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari emphasized that the people of Pakistan share the grief of Azerbaijan and pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.
