WNAM REPORT: A New Year’s concert of creative groups from the Lebap Specialized School of Arts was held in the Gala banquet hall.
The choir, chamber orchestra, brass and percussion ensemble, youth a’cappella choir Owaz, soloists, and choreographic ensemble delighted the audience with a bright and varied program.
The festive concert was opened by the chamber orchestra’s performance of the popular Christmas song “Jingle Bells” by James Lord Pierpont.
The bright and cheerful melodies Täze ýyl, Täze ýyl geldi, Täze ýyl bu gün were performed by soloists: Babajan Khanmuradov (4th year student, vocal singing mastery), Oredjemal Nepesova (2nd year) and Aziza Yakubova (3rd year, choral conducting), Umid Durdymuradov (2nd year) and Gozel Annaeva (4th year, vocal singing mastery).
The lyrical melody Gördüm, written by the teacher of the department of “Turkmen national musical instruments” Myakhrem Djumayev in the folk spirit, was performed with great professionalism by the author on the dutar.
Temperament and emotionality of sound were inherent in the song Täze ýyl by the young composer Vepa Ashirov (performer – youth choir a’cappella Owaz).
A memorable number was the vibrant performance of the brass and percussion ensemble with music from Allan Menken’s original soundtrack from the animated film “Aladdin”.
Light dance movements of young girls swirling in an elegant dance accompanied the song “Let’s Dance”, masterfully performed by soloist Ata Gayipov.
The festive concert ended with the song “On the Mountains” by Arkadagly Serdarymyz bilen (soloists Selbi Imamova, Annageldy Mamedov and the choir).
A real musical celebration, filled with the magic of enchantment and fairy-tale images, was presented to listeners by creative groups from a special school of arts.
