Law circles are divided over the question whether or not capital punishment be on our statutes?
One view is that but for it crimes cannot be eliminated from the society, on the contrary many consider it as an inhuman act. Since fear of God no longer exist in the heart of people in this era of materialism it is only fear of gallows or jail confinement that can put fear of punishment in the hearts of criminals .
A case in point is China where corruption in high places has been eliminated to a great extent only because the corrupt are made to stand in a row before the public eye and killed by a firing squad.
To cap it all even the price of bullets that are used in killing them are recovered from them before opening fire on them .
