The quality of debate in both Houses of parliament in England that is the House of Commons and House of Lords is worth emulation by our parliamentarians who use fisticuffs and hurl abuses against one another and more often than not even tear shirts of one another making the floor of the House look like a fish market.
In the second world war Hitler used abusive language against Churchill who never replied to his accusations. One day when a newsman asked the British prime minister as to why is he giving a deaf ear to these accusations? Churchill said Perhaps Hitler didn’t have good primary education. That single sentence outweighed all the rubbish which Hitler had delivered in his speeches against him.
Likewise the then Soviet head of the state Nikitia Khureschev who was a man of volatile temperament while addressing UN general Assembly once in a fit of anger removed his moccasin and thumping rostrum with it billed the then UN secretary general Dag Hammarskjold as dog who under the rules could have directed the sergeant at arms of the General Assembly to forcibly remove him from the Hall but he looked the other way completely ignoring that episode.
After the Assembly session when a newsman inquired from him about his decision to ignore that incident he only said Perhaps I am better educated.
