WNAM MONITORING: President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev extended his heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of the New Year in a traditional address to the people of Kazakhstan.
Dear fellow citizens,
From the bottom of my heart, I congratulate you on the New Year!
Today, we are all preparing to cross a milestone together.
This year, people from Altai to Atyrau will open a new chapter in history simultaneously.
Our people welcome the New Year with goodwill and special anticipation, reflecting on the past, assessing the outgoing year, refining their goals, and looking to the future with great hope.
This is truly a family celebration, so I wish you, above all, peace and prosperity for our country, as well as tranquility and health for all of you.
The Year of the Dragon has been full of significant events for our nation. Reforms in various sectors have started to yield results. We set a new economic course and took concrete measures. The manufacturing industry is developing rapidly, new enterprises have been launched, and the investment climate has improved. Thousands of kilometers of roads have been built and renovated. The longest bridge in the country has been completed and opened for public use. Farmers have harvested a bountiful crop, filling granaries with grain.
Under the “Taza Qazaqstan” (Clean Kazakhstan) initiative, cities and villages are being transformed. For the first time, the average life expectancy of our citizens has reached 75 years. Significant work is underway to ensure a bright future for the younger generation. A portion of the National Fund’s resources has been allocated to children’s accounts. More than 100 new schools have been opened, and many social facilities have been built.
Members of Parliament have passed laws addressing pressing societal issues.
This year, we also made a critical decision that will have a special impact on the future of our state. A referendum was held on building a nuclear power plant, with the majority of the population supporting this initiative.
Kazakhstan’s international reputation has risen significantly. Major summits of influential international organizations were held in Astana. Thousands of athletes and guests attended the World Nomad Games. We successfully organized these large-scale events, showcasing our steppe civilization to the world. Our athletes proudly raised our blue flag at the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Students returned home with prizes from various educational competitions, and there were many other achievements as well.
As you know, earlier this year, some regions experienced severe flooding. This natural disaster was undoubtedly a challenging test for all of us. However, during these difficult times, our people demonstrated unity and solidarity. Comprehensive assistance was provided to all those affected. The state left no one unattended and fulfilled all its obligations. Hundreds of families are now celebrating the New Year in new homes. Through our unity, we will overcome all difficulties and move forward confidently.
Systemic reforms will continue. All our plans will be implemented, and the coming year will be even more successful. As President, I will do everything in my power to achieve this. The government must carry out effective work to ensure steady economic growth.
We need to launch new enterprises, improve business conditions, continue road construction, and address utility infrastructure issues. Expanding the use of digital technologies, including artificial intelligence, and providing greater support to our farmers will also be essential.
The main goal of all this work is to improve the well-being of our citizens.
The state will give increased attention to the development of education, healthcare, science, and culture. We will continue to build new schools and hospitals and enhance the status of teachers, doctors, scientists, and cultural workers. Of course, the state will also support youth.
Next year, we will celebrate several important anniversaries. We will honor the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory with dignity. We will also mark the 30th anniversaries of the Constitution and the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, as well as the 180th anniversary of the great Abai. I have declared the coming year as the Year of Skilled Workers, as a sign of special respect for the labor force. We place great value on patriotism, hard work, and expertise.
Even now, during this festive season, thousands of our compatriots are working. Among them are border guards, doctors, law enforcement officers, rescuers, firefighters, industrial specialists, and others. Their dedication to their work is a true example of commitment. On behalf of the entire nation, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to them.
I also wish health and success to our citizens studying or working abroad!
Dear compatriots,
During this festive time, I wish joy to every home!
May the New Year bring good fortune to everyone!
Let everything go well for us!
Good health to our beloved mothers and veterans!
May the youth have open paths and a bright future!
May our Motherland prosper!
I wish you all health and prosperity in the New Year!
Let this family holiday fill your hearts with warmth and joy!
From the bottom of my heart, I wish you strong health, happiness, and well-being!
Happy New Year!
