ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT: In a landmark initiative aimed at strengthening academic and research collaboration, COMSTECH (The Ministerial Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation of the OIC) and the University of Lahore have announced a joint fellowship program for Bangladeshi scholars and students. This program underscores a shared commitment to fostering talent, innovation, and academic exchange among member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

The fellowship program seeks to provide exceptional opportunities for Bangladeshi students and researchers to pursue higher education and engage in cutting-edge research across a variety of disciplines, including Allied health sciences, engineering & technology, pharamcy, management sciences, social sciences, and the humanities. The initiative also includes training for technical personnel working for science & technology and engineering laboratories.

Prof. Dr. M. Iqbal Choudhary Coordinator General COMSTECH emphasized the importance of the initiative, stating, “This fellowship program is a testament to our commitment to bridging gaps in education and research across the Muslim world. By investing in Bangladeshi scholars and students, we aim to cultivate a generation of innovators and leaders who will address the challenges of our time.”
This partnership highlights UOL’s global reputation, as reflected in the QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2025, where it is ranked among the top 500 universities worldwide. UOL is recognized for its market-driven curriculum, high-quality teaching, learning, and impactful research.

This program underscores the commitment of leadership of COMSTECH and the University of Lahore, especially Chairman Board of Governors Awais Raoof, to foster educational and professional growth across the Muslim world.
