WNAM REPORT: With the support of the Embassy of Uzbekistan and the Diners Group, the official opening ceremony of the UzbekPak International Trading Centre and the UzbekPak Cultural Centre was held in Karachi, Pakistan.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of the business community of the city of Karachi, heads of export-import companies, representatives of business circles and travel companies.
The head of the Diners Group, Sohail Moten, emphasized that the trading house and cultural center will restore regional connectivity between Uzbekistan and Pakistan, increase the volume of mutual trade, and provide the necessary information for investors.
In his speech, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan, Alisher Tukhtayev, reported on the measures taken by the leadership and government of the country to bring bilateral relations to a new level, maintain the current pace in trade and economic ties and further improve them, as well as revive cultural exchange.
“The trading house will bring our peoples and national economies closer together. This will create a basis for the effective implementation of agreements reached at a high level, aiming to enrich the range of our trade relations with new units and increase trade turnover to $1 billion”, the diplomat noted.
The trading house displays samples of industrial goods from Uzbekistan: textiles, threads, wool and leather, plastic granules, and dried fruits.
