Pakistan’s commitment to bolstering its mining sector.
The Future Minerals Forum (FMF) entered its second day, attracting over 20,000 registered visitors, including ministers, mining professionals, service providers, investors, and academics. The event continues to be a key gathering for stakeholders in the global mining industry.
The Pakistan Pavilion stood out as a highlight of the forum, drawing substantial attention from attendees. One visitor remarked, “If awards were given for best-designed pavilion, the Pakistan Pavilion would surely win.” Dr. Musadik Malik, Minister of Petroleum and Water Resources for Pakistan, visited the pavilion to review its exhibits. He praised Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL)
for its efforts in organizing the pavilion, alongside the support from other participating companies. Investors from countries such as Turkey, China, and Chile expressed interest in Pakistan’s
growing mining opportunities, seeking insights into potential investments.
The Pakistan delegation hosted a 90-minute session on January 16, from 9:30 to 11:00 AM. Speakers, including Minister Dr. Musadik Malik, Managing Director of Pakistan Petroleum
Limited Mr. Imran Abbasy, and Project Director for Reko Diq, presented Pakistan’s mining investment climate and the government’s strategic vision for the sector’s growth.
