ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT): Chairman of the Clean and Green Islamabad Movement Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari, stated that the legal fraternity holds a pivotal role in upholding the rule of law, ensuring judicial independence, and providing justice to the people. He expressed these views during his visit to the Islamabad District Bar Association, where he congratulated the newly elected President Chaudhry Naeem Ali Gujar , Abdul Haleem Bhotto General Secretary and other office bearers.
During the visit, Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari was accompanied by senior vice president of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce Abdul Rehman Siddiqui, vice president Chaudhry Nasir Mahmood, executive members Ishaq Sial, Roohail Anwar Butt, Mohsin Khalid, President of Talagang Chamber of Commerce Malik Shabbir Awan, former senior vice president Khalid Chaudhry, Babar Chaudhry, and others.
In his address, Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari congratulated all newly elected office bearers of the Bar Association and extended his best wishes for their future endeavors. He emphasized that, as in the past, fostering strong ties between the business community and the legal fraternity is the need of the hour, enabling both sectors to contribute to the country’s socio-economic development.
Bar President Chaudhry Naeem Ali Gujar thanked Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari and his delegation and highlighted the initiatives taken by the Bar Association for the welfare of lawyers and the public. He stated that the legal fraternity has always been committed to upholding the law and promoting social justice. He further assured that the Bar Association would strengthen its role in ensuring the delivery of justice and the preservation of the rule of law.
Bar Association Group Leader Abdul Aleem Abbasi underlined the importance of robust relationships between lawyers and the business community, stating that their unity could help the nation tackle its challenges. Vice President Sardar Muhammad Yaqub Mastoi and Secretary Abdul Haleem Bhotto also spoke at the event, providing details about the Bar’s plans and public service initiatives. Additional Secretary Qurrat-ul-Ain Ayesha highlighted the significance of women lawyers in the Bar and expressed her determination to enhance their roles.
The participants reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening ties between the Bar and the business community and agreed on the necessity of working together for the development and stability of the country.
