ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT): In line with the directives of the Government of Pakistan and the Ministry of Energy Power Division, Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has intensified its operations against electricity defaulters across the region. The company has launched a massive crackdown on power theft and defaulters, taking stern action against those failing to pay their electricity bills. This concerted effort aims to streamline the recovery of outstanding dues and curb the menace of power theft, ultimately ensuring a stable and reliable power supply to legitimate consumers.
Muhammad Naeem Jan Chief Executive IESCO briefed that during the ongoing recovery Campaign since September 7, 2023 having support of the police and other law enforcement agencies, IESCO recovery teams ensured the collection of 5828.760 million rupees from 199,408 running and dead defaulters
He further said that the dues recovery campaign will continue without interruption and the supply of electricity to the defaulters will be disconnected without any delays. He appreciated the performance of IESCO recovery teams and requested valuable customers to pay their current and outstanding electricity dues without any delay. He said that in case of non receipt of electricity bills duplicate bills can be obtained from IESCO web www.iesco.com.pk, related Sub Division/ Revenue offices or from customer care centers.
