Tashkent ( WNAM MONITORING): During a visit to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Davron Vakhabov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, met with the leadership of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and its members.
The meeting focused on ways to enhance bilateral economic and trade relations in sectors that have not yet reached their full potential, despite their high level of development.
The Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan emphasized the need to strengthen institutional cooperation between the two countries and proposed several strategic initiatives.
Among the ideas was the suggestion to resume the activities of the Entrepreneurs’ Council, operating under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of both countries, with the inclusion of 15 entrepreneurs from sectors such as textiles, leather and footwear, agro-industrial complex, construction materials production, and logistics.
It was also proposed to hold a business forum between Uzbekistan and Pakistan in Samarkand in February of this year.
Both sides stressed the importance of creating a permanent platform for communication between businesspeople of the two countries, which would significantly strengthen trade ties, implement joint projects, and expand mutual trade volume.
