WNAM REPORT: A delegation led by Claude Imauven, head of Uzbekistan – France Council under the MEDEF International Business Council and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Orano, visited Samarkand.
The guests toured the city’s landmarks and assessed the urban development efforts carried out in Samarkand.
A meeting was held at the Shirin town administration with Adiz Boboyev, Acting Hokim of the region.
“I first visited this historic city when the President of our country made a state visit to Uzbekistan”, said Claude Imauven, head of Uzbekistan – France Council under the MEDEF International Business Council and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Orano. “However, at that time, I did not have the opportunity to visit Samarkand. I am amazed by the beauty and grandeur of the city’s architecture. We know that tourism is one of the most developed sectors in Samarkand, and we intend to implement joint projects not only in tourism but also in healthcare, public transport, energy, and urban development”.
After the meeting, presentations showcased Samarkand’s tourism potential and the Shirin town project.
