ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT): Chairperson Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) Senator Rubina Khalid met with Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Chaudhry Salik Hussain at his office. The meeting focused on collaborative measures to provide overseas job opportunities for members of deserving families. Discussions were held on working jointly with BISP, the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis, and NAVTTC to equip these individuals with skills aligned with international demand.
Speaking on the occasion, Senator Rubina Khalid emphasized BISP’s commitment to empowering deserving individuals through the Benazir Hunarmand Program, enabling them to become financially independent and contribute to the nation’s development and prosperity. She also stressed the importance of international certifications, adherence to professional work ethics, and incorporating hygiene and cleanliness principles alongside technical skill training.
Minister Chaudhry Salik Hussain briefed Senator Rubina Khalid on the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis’ ongoing project with the Korean government. Both institutions agreed to identify eligible individuals through the BISP database, develop a final action plan, and sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the next meeting to formalize the collaboration.
