WNAM MONITORING: President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov awarded the “Türkmenistanyň ussat diplomaty” distinction to several diplomats on the occasion of Diplomatic Workers’ Day, February 18, 2025, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.
Among the honorees are Shagulyyev Nazarguly, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Belarus; Movlamov Atajan, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan; and Kabayev Bazarbay, Consul General of Turkmenistan in Afghanistan.
The awards recognized their long-term, diligent, and exemplary work in diplomatic service and their contributions to strengthening Turkmenistan’s state independence, neutrality, and political, economic, and cultural relations.
As part of the Diplomatic Workers’ Day celebrations, an international conference on “The Role of Diplomacy in Strengthening International Relations” took place at the Institute of International Relations. A special exhibition was also organized to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality and the International Year of Peace and Trust.
Diplomatic Workers’ Day, celebrated annually on February 18, honors the work and dedication of diplomats worldwide. Since 2009, this day has been an official professional holiday in Turkmenistan.
