WNAM REPORT: FAO and the Balochistan Agriculture Research & Development Canter (BARDC) have renewed their long-term agreement for operational support to FAO programme for Balochistan, ensuring continued facilitation of FAO’s projects within BARDC’s premises, with the prior approvals of Chairman PARC and FAOR Pakistan. This includes dedicated office space, warehouses that serve as a hub for essential agricultural and livestock support—for farming equipment, veterinary supplies, fodder and crop seeds—and access to a hall for trainings, events and meetings, enabling FAO to implement its initiatives effectively across the province.
Nadeem Sadiq, Director General, BARDC Balochistan stated during the signing ceremony, “This agreement strengthens our collaboration with FAO, ensuring continued support for its operations while reinforcing BARDC’s role in facilitating agricultural research and development in Balochistan.”
Waleed Mahdi, International Program Coordinator and the Head of Office, FAO Balochistan, emphasized the significance of the partnership, stating, “This long-term partnership reinforces FAO’s commitment to Balochistan, enhancing support for sustainable agriculture development. It allows us to better serve farmers and strengthen their resilience across the province.”
