WNAM REPORT: President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated Turkmen entrepreneurs and industrialists on the 17th anniversary of the establishment of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, sending welcoming words to the participants of the exhibition and the International Forum “Investments in the Future of Turkmenistan”, which will start today in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the country.

I sincerely congratulate you on the 17th anniversary of the formation of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, as well as on the opening of the exhibition of industrialists and entrepreneurs and the International Forum “Investments in the Future of Turkmenistan” on the occasion of this significant date!
The development of the country’s private sector is one of the priority areas of the national economy. Current large-scale events also indicate that members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, successfully using state support, have become the driving force of the economy of our sovereign Fatherland.
Dear members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs!
In order to ensure high rates of economic development of our independent Motherland and continue an active investment policy, consistent implementation of measures aimed at strengthening the economic potential of the country’s regions, further improving the social and living conditions of the population, we are implementing large-scale state programs, major regional and national projects.
The Program “Revival of a New Era of a Powerful State: National Program for Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan in 2022–2052” attaches great importance to public-private sectoral partnerships, the widespread introduction of effective business practices, and the active involvement of entrepreneurs in this work in a market economy.
Currently, the activities of Turkmen businessmen in implementing state policy in the field of scientific and technological reforms, using the broad opportunities of the digital economy, developing industry, agriculture and services in accordance with modern requirements are impressive. Individual entrepreneurs, who have become the driving force of the new economic direction, are implementing important projects, making a significant contribution to the development of the economy, improving the well-being of our people. In the private sector, modern production facilities are being put into operation to produce import-substituting, competitive and export-oriented products, where new jobs are being created, and food and commodity abundance is strengthening in the country.
As a result of ongoing activities to modernize the business environment and expand the scale of small, medium and large businesses, the share of the private sector in the economy is steadily growing. The “Program for the Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan and Investments in 2025” plans to further provide state support to small and medium businesses, increase the share of the private sector in the economy by improving the business structure and bring the share of the non-state sector in the gross domestic product to 71.6 percent.
This Program is of great importance in transforming the country into an industrially developed state, successfully implementing market economy reforms that ensure diversification and adaptation of the economy to digitalization, and creating new jobs.
Based on the significant increase in the role of private property in the implementation of development programs for our country, the steady continuation of modern reforms, we will continue state support for entrepreneurs in the future.

We are pleased with the successes and achievements of the members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan over the past 17 years, their worthy contribution to the development of the country.
Products and services of Turkmen entrepreneurs should become a model of modern quality. Reliance on innovation, science and advanced technologies, sustainable development, adherence to the principles of the “green” economy – all this is characteristic of our representatives of the private sector. I am firmly convinced that domestic entrepreneurs will continue to work hard, will make every effort to implement grandiose projects, and advance the work that has begun.
Once again, I sincerely congratulate you on the 17th anniversary of the establishment of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, as well as on the start of the exhibition and international forum dedicated to this date!
