WNAM REPORT: President of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), Usman Shaukat, has emphasized the need for joint efforts to enhance trade relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh. He stated that improving bilateral trade will play a vital role in the economic development of the region.
He pointed out that to take full advantage of trade opportunities, it is crucial to relax visa policies, launch direct flights, and organize trade fairs. RCCI, he added, is ready to facilitate business delegations and host joint exhibitions.
The RCCI President noted that the current trade volume between the two countries does not reflect the true potential and has the capacity to grow significantly. Pakistan’s textile, pharmaceutical, agriculture, and sports goods sectors have strong prospects in the Bangladeshi market. Additionally, the establishment of banking channels between the two countries would further boost trade.
Usman Shaukat reaffirmed RCCI’s commitment to playing an active role in fostering positive trade relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh.
