WNAM MONITORING: On March 31, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, paid a working visit to the Balkan Velayat. During the visit, Hero-Arkadag reviewed the projects of new facilities to be built along the Caspian coast. Discussions also focused on the implementation of development programs for the western region of the country and preparations for upcoming international events.
Early in the morning, Hero-Arkadag departed from the capital’s International Airport for the Balkan Velayat.
Shortly after, the aircraft carrying Hero-Arkadag landed at the International Airport of Turkmenbashi, where the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, was warmly welcomed.
From there, Hero-Arkadag proceeded to the National Tourist Zone “Avaza.” The modern recreation and health resort complex, created through the efforts of Hero-Arkadag on the ecologically clean Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea, offers a high level of services to the people.
Hero-Arkadag arrived at the sports complex in Avaza, where several Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers and heads of military and law enforcement agencies briefed him on their respective areas of work.
Emphasizing that all activities should be conducted according to a well-defined plan and meet modern requirements, Hero-Arkadag stated that every leader must consistently oversee the progress of projects and initiatives within their jurisdiction.
Additionally, Hero-Arkadag underlined the importance of strict adherence to regulations and the coordinated operation of transport structures, considering the upcoming large-scale international events on the Caspian coast.
Subsequently, Hero-Arkadag reviewed proposed projects for further coastal development and the construction of various facilities.
As part of the preparations for an international forum in the National Tourist Zone “Avaza,” information was presented regarding the proposed layout of a complex of buildings for hosting international events. The presentation included descriptions of the buildings, their interior and exterior designs, and the overall architectural concept.
It was noted that all necessary conditions have been created within the complex to host international events at a high organizational level.
Honored Architect of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag, carefully examined the presented projects, provided comments, and made necessary adjustments. He stressed that the architectural design, decorative features, and landscaping of the surrounding areas should fully comply with modern standards.
Hero-Arkadag highlighted the need to ensure the highest level of preparation for significant events in the International Year of Peace and Trust, as declared by a special UN General Assembly Resolution initiated by Turkmenistan. He emphasized the importance of a high organizational level in preparing for the upcoming international forum, which will build upon the Forum of Transport Ministers of Landlocked Developing Countries, previously held under Turkmenistan’s initiative within the UN framework.
Hero-Arkadag also stated that preparations for the upcoming international event must align with Turkmenistan’s status of permanent neutrality, recognized three times by relevant UN General Assembly resolutions. He called for a comprehensive approach to coordinating the work of all involved structures in the construction, equipping, and successful hosting of the forum.
Following this, the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held a working meeting.
Discussions covered the planned activities for the international forum, guest reception arrangements, and measures to ensure optimal conditions for participants. It was noted that, in line with the President’s foreign policy strategy, meetings and negotiations with international delegations attending the forum are scheduled.
Hero-Arkadag stated that the presence of foreign representatives at the forum would highlight its international significance and its importance for global cooperation. In this regard, it is essential to welcome the delegations in accordance with the centuries-old traditions of Turkmen hospitality while taking into account the forum’s global impact.
Additionally, a report was presented on the cultural program planned for the upcoming forum.
Hero-Arkadag, emphasizing the crucial role of cultural and humanitarian events in international cooperation, stated that cultural activities within the UN conference on landlocked developing countries should be vibrant and memorable.
The working meeting continued with a discussion on involving youth with foreign language skills in the international forum.
Hero-Arkadag highlighted that active youth participation in international events held in Turkmenistan is an essential step in enhancing their education and professional experience. He urged that special attention be given to improving the educational and professional development of the younger generation.
The meeting proceeded with reports on the progress of preparations for high-level international events, which hold significant importance for the country.
Hero-Arkadag stressed that, considering Turkmenistan’s role as a center for international conferences and forums, special attention must be given to the organizational aspects to ensure the successful execution of planned events. He stated that no detail should be overlooked.
The meeting also included updates on the progress of construction projects related to the upcoming international event.
Speaking on the importance of forum preparations, Hero-Arkadag set key requirements, including ensuring high-quality construction along the Caspian coast and timely completion of planned works.
Reports were presented on the activities of relevant structures involved in organizing guest participation in the international forum and its scheduled events.
Hero-Arkadag emphasized that, given Turkmenistan’s esteemed international reputation, all necessary efforts should be made to organize the forum in line with contemporary standards.
Discussions also covered trade and service industry aspects of the forum, with a focus on maintaining high standards.
Hero-Arkadag underlined that every necessary measure must be taken to ensure the success of all forum events.
Additionally, information was provided on transportation and communication services available to guests during the forum.
Hero-Arkadag noted that comprehensive support would be provided to the media for coverage of the event.
The meeting also addressed security measures, guest registration procedures, and the smooth operation of transport infrastructure during the international forum.
Hero-Arkadag stressed the importance of maintaining order, systematically monitoring event organization, and ensuring a high-level forum execution.
Given the vital role of transport and communication systems in global economic development, Hero-Arkadag emphasized the need for an integrated approach to organizing the forum on transport and logistics, particularly in supporting landlocked countries’ access to maritime terminals.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, wished success in accomplishing the set objectives and then traveled by sports car to the Garabogazgol Bay.
Currently, Hero-Arkadag’s large-scale reforms aimed at upgrading the country’s transport infrastructure to international standards are being successfully implemented with the support of Arkadagly Hero Serdar. Situated at a major continental crossroads, Turkmenistan prioritizes the development of international transport corridors. In this context, the new highway bridge over the Garabogazgol Bay plays a key role in the Turkmenbashi-Garabogaz-Kazakhstan border route.
Hero-Arkadag’s car stopped at the construction site of the two-lane bridge on this route.
Here, he reviewed graphical designs, including the bridge’s structural beams and lighting system.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers B. Annmammedov reported on the construction progress, highlighting that the bridge would significantly enhance trade and transportation between western and northern Turkmenistan and neighboring countries.
Hero-Arkadag noted that the project, launched with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, holds international significance, fostering Turkmenistan’s economic integration and foreign partnerships.
He emphasized that road construction and infrastructure modernization remain state policy priorities. Such projects boost intercontinental trade and the potential of the International Seaport of Turkmenbashi.
Hero-Arkadag instructed that the bridge be built to meet high durability and load-bearing standards, ensuring its longevity.
After reviewing the progress, Hero-Arkadag boarded a helicopter for the National Tourist Zone “Avaza,” where his working visit to the Balkan Velayat continues.
