ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT ): The Malaysian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, hosted an Eid-ul-Fitr reception at the Malaysian Embassy in Islamabad, which was attended by ambassadors, diplomats, business leaders, journalists, and people from various walks of life. In his address, Mazlan emphasized the significance of Eid celebrations in fostering mutual integration and harmony among global communities.
Mazlan highlighted that in Malaysia, Eid is a time for people to open their homes and share happiness with others, regardless of their background. He also expressed his hope for continued growth in Malaysia’s relations with other countries, particularly Pakistan.
The event featured a mix of Malaysian and Pakistani cuisine, and attendees included members of the Malaysian community, students, and diplomats from various countries. The reception was part of the Malaysian Embassy’s efforts to promote cultural exchange and strengthen ties between Malaysia and Pakistan.
Heads of Missions of the ASEAN countries and Dean of the African Group Mohammad Karmoune Ambassador of Morocco, Russian ambassador, Charge d Affaires of the Australian High Commission, Ambassador of Kazakhstan, Ambassador of Nepal, diplomats from Tajik and Kyrgyz embassies also attended the event.
