ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT ): The K Soft Power Seminar 2025, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea was held at the Quaid-e-Azam University on the 09th of April, 2025.
His Excellency, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in his opening remarks mentioned that Korea and Pakistan are friendly nations. He also mentioned how Pakistani people love Korean culture, especially Korean dramas and music. H.E. the Ambassador also mentioned that culture has the ability to affect hearts and minds beyond borders, and it is an effective tool to foster better relations and understanding between the two nations.
Professor Dr. Zafar Nawaz Jaspal, the Dean Faculty Social Sciences from Quaid-e-Azam Univeristy had joined the event as well. During his remarks Dr. Zafar Jaspal mentioned that Korea and Pakistan have great relations and Korean soft power has influenced Pakistan in a very positive way. Dr. Zafar said that many Koreans are studying at Quaid-e-Azam University, and this is a good sign that Korea Pakistan relations are growing stronger.
The seminar featured famous speakers from Korea, including Ms. Alex Choi, a Korean team leader of global business strategy at Korea Creative Content Agency. She mentioned that most of Pakistan’s population is young and this is a great opportunity for Pakistan and Korea to collaborate in terms of soft power and culture.
The seminar also featured Mr. Zahid Hussain, a Pakistani living in Korea. He is a broadcaster and also the President of the Global Korea Scholarship Alumni.
A great number of students from Quaid-e-Azam University attended the seminar. The seminar was very successful, the students appreciated the content of the seminar and souvenirs were also distributed.
