WNAM REPORT: A meeting of the Council of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) will be held in Saint Petersburg.
The parliamentary delegation of Uzbekistan, led by the Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tanzila Narbayeva, will take part in the event.
Heads of delegations will participate in the events of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly’s spring session, where they will discuss matters addressed at the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union held in Tashkent and the results of election monitoring conducted by CIS Interparliamentary Assembly observers.
The session will also review the outcomes of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly’s activities in 2024 and address preparations for upcoming international summits.
In addition, a ceremonial session of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly will be held to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Victory in World War II.
