WNAM REPORT: Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb engaged with members of the Pakistan Bank-Fund Staff Association (PBFSA). During the meeting, the Finance Minister briefed them on the improving macroeconomic indicators of the country.
He informed the members that Pakistan had reached a staff-level agreement on the first review under Pakistan’s Extended Fund Facility (EFF) and a new arrangement under the Resilience and Sustainability Facility (RSF).
The Minister highlighted the approval of a 10-year Country Partnership Framework (CPF) for Pakistan by the World Bank Board, with a focus on the existential challenges of population and climate change.
Emphasizing the government’s commitment to implementing the structural reforms agenda, the Finance Minister concluded the engagement with a Q&A session.
