Delegation of leading Universities of Kazakhstan visits Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: ( WNAM REPORT ):  Within the framework of the 13th session of the Intergovernmental Joint Commission of Kazakhstan and Pakistan, a delegation of leading universities of Kazakhstan visited Islamabad.
During the visit, with the assistance and support of the Higher Education Commission, Pakistan the First #Forum of #Universities of #Kazakhstan and Pakistan, as well as the educational exhibition «#Study in Kazakhstan» were organized.
The parties discussed prospects for further comprehensive development and strengthening of cooperation in the field of education, particularly emphasizing the need to establish systemic direct interaction between scientific and educational institutions of the two countries.
At the #exhibition «Study in Kazakhstan» were presented educational programs, the opportunities of domestic universities and available scientific achievements.
The delegation also visited leading universities of Pakistan, including the «National University of Science and Technology» (NUST), «Quaid-i-Azam University,Islamabad», «National University of Modern Languages» (NUML university Islamabad), and the international school «Roots International Education Group».
In addition, meetings were held with the Coordinator General of the Standing Committee for Scientific and Technological Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMSTECH) Prof.Dr.Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary, as well as with the Executive Director of the Commission on Science and Technology for Sustainable Development of the South (COMSATS) Dr. Mohammad Nafees Zakaria, where detailed discussions on interaction in a multilateral format took place.
Following the visit, a number of Memorandums of Understanding were signed between universities of Kazakhstan and Pakistan.
