WNAM MONITORING: National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, paid a working visit to the city of Arkadag on Saturday, where he reviewed future construction projects as part of the second phase of the city’s development, according to Turkmenistan’s state news agency.
During the visit, Berdimuhamedov inspected models of buildings for various purposes, infrastructure renovation plans, and proposed solar panel installations. Special attention was given to environmental aspects of construction and the aesthetics of the urban environment.
Chairman of the State Committee for the Construction of Arkadag City under the President of Turkmenistan, Deryageldi Orazov, briefed Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on ongoing work at the construction sites, including the erection of new facilities and landscaping of surrounding areas. Key projects include the Ahalteke Atlar Avenue with associated road infrastructure, a mosque, new railway and bus stations, and the reconstruction of a bridge on Gokdepe Avenue.
The National Leader of Turkmen people provided recommendations on architectural and decorative solutions, emphasizing the importance of adhering to quality standards and adapting designs to local environmental conditions.
Berdimuhamedov also stressed the need for incorporating digital technologies and smart innovations into construction processes, while encouraging investment in the city’s development.
As part of the visit, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the State Committee for the Construction of Arkadag City and the Asian Development Bank (ADB), further cementing cooperation in sustainable and technologically advanced urban development.
