ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT ): Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal, while addressing the inaugural session of the All Pakistan Chambers Presidents Conference 2025 organized by the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce, has said that the Pakistani nation can go to any extent for its integrity. Just as we have proved our defense capability, we will also have to be invincible in economic terms. I will convey the budget proposals compiled by the Rawalpindi Chamber to the government. Addressing the Chamber Presidents from across Pakistan at a local hotel in Islamabad, he said, “Wars are not won by wealth or numbers — it takes passion and capability to win a war.”
He described the month of May as a decisive chapter in Pakistan’s history, where two important events strengthened the foundation of Pakistan’s sovereignty. May 28, 1998: When the enemy carried out five nuclear explosions, Pakistan sent a clear message to the international community through six explosions that Pakistan’s integrity and sovereignty cannot be bought with dollars.
Railways Minister Hanif Abbasi, while addressing the conference, said that economic development is not possible without taking stakeholders and chambers on board.
Federal Tax Ombudsman Dr. Asif Jah said that the rights of taxpayers will be protected at all costs. Earlier, Chamber President Usman Shaukat said that our demand is to withdraw the tax ordinance immediately. It is a killer for the economy, the existing taxpayers should not be burdened, the tax net should be increased. Group leader Sohail Altaf said that industrialization can make the country economically stable. The chain of SROs should be stopped and business should be made easier.
