TASHKENT ( WNAM REPORT ): Uzbekistan Airways is set to launch direct flights from Tashkent to Islamabad on June 14, 2025, marking a significant step in enhancing bilateral connectivity between Pakistan and Uzbekistan. The flights will operate every Saturday, with departure from Tashkent at 08:50 am and arrival in Islamabad at 10:50 am. This initiative aims to boost people-to-people exchanges, trade, and tourism between the two nations. The airline already operates bi-weekly flights between Tashkent and Lahore on Wednesdays and Fridays. The introduction of direct flights to Islamabad is expected to strengthen economic and cultural cooperation, fostering mutual understanding and shared prosperity.
Uzbekistan Airways is also exploring plans to introduce direct flights to Karachi in the near future, further solidifying its presence in Pakistan. The new air route is part of the Central and South Asia Connectivity Initiative, which seeks to enhance regional integration and cooperation.
