ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT): Uzbekistan Airways’ historic direct flight from Tashkent to Islamabad landed at Islamabad International Airport on Saturday, marking a significant milestone in bilateral relations between Pakistan and Uzbekistan. The flight, carrying 250 passengers, departed from Tashkent International Airport at 9:50 am and arrived at 12 noon. This development is expected to strengthen economic ties, increase tourism, and provide opportunities for the people of both countries to come closer.
A grand ceremony was held at the airport, featuring a cake-cutting ceremony attended by the Ambassadors of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kazakhstan to Pakistan. The Uzbek Ambassador highlighted the significance of this development, stating that it will boost business, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries. The flight will operate every Saturday, underscoring the shared commitment of Uzbekistan and Pakistan to deepen cooperation.
