WNAM REPORT: In June, a delegation headed by the President of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan A. Ashirov visited the cities of Riyadh and Mecca in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
As reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, during the visit, a scientific conference dedicated to the life and work of the great thinker and classic of the East Makhtumkuli Fragi was organized jointly with the King Abdulaziz Scientific Center.
Also within the framework of the event, a bilateral meeting with the leadership of the King Abdulaziz Scientific Center was held. The Scientific Research Center of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia hosted a presentation of the book by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov “Makhtumkuli – Thinker of the World”.
In addition, members of the Turkmen delegation familiarized themselves with the work of the Haram al-Mekki el-Şerif Library and the Museum of the Holy Quran in Mecca, the source notes.
