WNAM REPORT: Secretary General of the United Business Group (UBG), Zafar Bakhtawari, has said that individuals and organizations who actively engage in humanitarian and welfare efforts are the real heroes of society. He stated that such people are symbols of greatness and pride for the community.He expressed these views during his visit to the Head Office of Al-Mustafa Welfare Trust in London, where he was warmly welcomed by the Trust’s Chairman, Abdul Razzaq Sajid. On this occasion, Zafar Bakhtawari was given a detailed briefing on the Trust’s various ongoing welfare projects in Pakistan.He appreciated the trust’s humanitarian work, stating that Al-Mustafa Trust has become a beacon of hope in deprived and remote areas of Pakistan and stands as a shining example of service to humanity.* He praised the Trust’s contributions in sensitive sectors such as education, healthcare, food security, clean drinking water, rehabilitation of disaster-affected communities, and the care of orphaned children.Chairman Abdul Razzaq Sajid welcomed the visit and said that meeting a compassionate and visionary leader like Zafar Bakhtawari was an honor for the organization. He noted that such visits inspire and encourage their mission, and that leaders like Bakhtawari can play a vital role in further strengthening the Trust’s outreach.He added that Al-Mustafa Welfare Trust is actively working across Pakistan in various sectors including medical treatment for disabled individuals, care for orphans, mobile medical units, clean water initiatives, healthcare access in remote areas like Tharparkar, Balochistan, and Azad Kashmir, and emergency relief during natural disasters. The Trust also distributes food and meat during Ramadan and Eid-ul-Adha.He shared that the Trust operates over 100 free medical centers and mobile dispensaries across Pakistan, benefiting more than 1.4 million people annually. Additionally, over 70 water filtration plants and dozens of educational projects are underway.Sajid also mentioned the Make Pakistan Greener campaign, which aims to plant millions of trees, and the successful ongoing project “Aashiyana” that provides safe and dignified housing for elderly citizens.Zafar Bakhtawari expressed his commitment to connecting Pakistan’s private sector, chambers of commerce, and the business community with Al-Mustafa Trust to help transform the vision of a prosperous and welfare-oriented Pakistan into reality.
