WNAM MONITORING: The Head of State visited the Yangi Kamolon mahalla in Shaykhantakhur district of Tashkent city.
The reforms being carried out in the country are reaching every mahalla. Here, too, special attention is being given to employment and improving the quality of life. Apartment buildings, shops, and the citizens’ assembly building have been modernized. Internal roads have been leveled, and the area has been landscaped. A pedestrian alley, a leisure zone for older people, sports grounds, and children’s playgrounds have been created.

More than 4,600 people live in Yangi Kamolon mahalla. Over 60 trade and service outlets employ local youth. This year, craft workshops, agricultural product stores, confectionery shops, a bakery, and a private medical center were opened. As a result, the mahalla has become an area free from unemployment.

Information on the activities of the Reform Headquarters of Shaykhantakhur district was also presented here.

“Craftsmanship in Shaykhantakhur has existed for centuries. Even today, it remains a powerful source of employment and income for people. Therefore, based on the example of Shaykhantakhur, we will adopt a new program for the development of the service sector”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted.

To ensure public safety and prevent offenses, a situational center was established at the office of the mahalla inspector. Surveillance cameras installed in the entrances of apartment buildings are connected to this center, along with the integrated security systems of the internal affairs bodies. No crimes have been registered in the mahalla this year.

The service company Yangi Kamolon provides maintenance for 21 apartment buildings in the mahalla. Specialists and necessary equipment are kept in constant readiness. A billing system has been introduced. This year, central heating pipelines have been insulated, electrical networks and residential entrances have been repaired. New elevators have been installed in some buildings.

The Head of State emphasized that in the future, service company buildings should be constructed as multi-story complexes, housing professional training courses for youth and household service centers. A small library has been established in the mahalla, and the importance of setting up such libraries in other mahallas has been noted.

A warm conversation took place with residents on the mahalla’s terrace.

“In recent years, many new enterprises have been opened in the country, and the economy is growing. At the same time, a new generation is coming of age. We must already be thinking about their education, health, and employment. That is why this year we are attracting $8 billion of investments to Tashkent. These funds will create new jobs, educational institutions, and infrastructure facilities in Shaykhantakhur”, the President said.

Elderly residents of the mahalla expressed their satisfaction with the ongoing changes in the country and offered prayers, wishing peace and prosperity to the people.
