WNAM Monitoring: U.S. Ambassador Matthew Klimow expressed hopes that the Turkmenistan-U.S. Business Council will be reformed into the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Turkmenistan at the official press conference held at the American Embassy in Ashgabat.
Matthew Klimow highlighted that the Embassy constantly supports the work of the Executive Director of the Turkmenistan-U.S. Business Council Eric Stewart and the Council’s efforts through the Turkmen-American Business Forum. Ambassador Klimow also emphasized during the speech that two U.S. trade delegations visited Ashgabat last December.
The press conference further revealed that famous American companies such as John Deere, Boeing, General Electric, Visa Card International, and Coca-Cola are willing to intensify their activities in the Turkmen market.
The American Embassy, through its engagement with Turkmen counterparts, has been providing significant assistance in facilitating the interaction between American companies interested in purchasing Turkmenistan’s export goods, particularly in the fields of petrochemicals, urea, and other commodities.
At the end of his speech, the outgoing Ambassador reaffirmed his intention to continue working in trade and commerce, which was established based on the Turkmenistan-U.S. Business Council and the Turkmen-American Business Forum.
