WNAM REPORT: The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov has met with the Acting Prime Minister of Afghanistan, Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund.
“We had a great pleasure of meeting with H.E. Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, Acting Prime Minister of Afghanistan, and reaffirming Uzbekistan’s strong commitment to deepening relations with our brotherly neighbor”, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote on his Telegram channel. “We discussed expanding trade, humanitarian cooperation, and connectivity, including the signing of a Framework Agreement for the Uzbekistan – Afghanistan – Pakistan railway – a vital step toward regional integration.
The Uzbekistan Government stands ready to strengthen cooperation in infrastructure, logistics, energy, and education, and believes Afghanistan must serve as a bridge between Central and South Asia”.
