ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT ): Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan, H.E. Khazar Farhadov, has said that Azerbaijan considers Pakistan a brotherly nation, and promoting cooperation at both public and trade levels is among Azerbaijan’s top priorities. He added that work on the development projects of Melody Market, Saidpur Village, and Srinagar Highway is progressing rapidly and will soon be completed, delivering benefits to the public. These projects will enhance tourism and further strengthen the excellent bilateral relations between the two countries. The Azerbaijan-Pakistan people-to-people friendship will be further deepened, and all ongoing projects will be completed within the set timelines. He was speaking during a meeting with a representative delegation from the Azerbaijan-Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Melody Market Business Community at the Azerbaijan Embassy in Islamabad.
The delegation expressed heartfelt gratitude to Ambassador Khazar Farhadov, noting that the Government of Azerbaijan—especially President Ilham Aliyev—has taken commendable practical steps to strengthen ties with Pakistan’s business community and support the development of commercial hubs like Melody Market. They also appreciated the steps taken to transform Srinagar Highway and Saidpur Village into model areas.The delegation requested the Ambassador to ensure swift completion of development work in Melody Market. In response, the Ambassador emphasized that special attention would be given to the Melody Food Mall, encouraging the establishment of reputable food outlets. This, he said, would boost commercial activity in the market and bring immense benefits to the business community.
Zafar Bakhtawari stated that the fraternal, diplomatic, and economic ties between Azerbaijan and Pakistan are growing stronger by the day. He remarked, “Azerbaijan stands with Pakistan in every difficult time. These three projects are a gift from Azerbaijan’s top leadership to the people of Pakistan, and we are pleased that Azerbaijan is not only supporting major national projects but also contributing to urban development and market uplift.Abdul Rehman Siddiqui also thanked the Ambassador and said that Azerbaijan’s interest in improving Melody Market is highly encouraging and will mark the beginning of a new era of direct cooperation between the business communities of both countries.Azhar Iqbal added that the support of the Ambassador of Azerbaijan is a source of great encouragement, and they are hopeful for the timely completion of these development projects.
