WNAM REPORT: Hashoo School of Hospitality Management (HSHM), a premier hospitality education institute, has signed an MOU with Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) Multan to formalize their collaboration for hospitality education in Southern Punjab in near futuer. The MOU signing ceremony was held at Rumanza by Pearl-Continental, attended by senior management from both organizations including Brig Ahmad Rizwan Ghumman, Administrator DHA, Multan.
Through this partnership, students in Multan and across Southern Punjab will have access to a 4-year Degree program in Hospitality and Tourism Management. The program shall include hands-on training and internships and aligns with global hospitality education standards to prepare graduates for rewarding careers in the rapidly growing tourism and hospitality sector.
As the largest public sector university in South Punjab, Bahauddin Zakariya University (BZU) serves over 40,000 students across diverse disciplines. Established in 1975 and spread over 960 acres, BZU is recognized nationally by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan and internationally by QS and Times Higher Education rankings. Equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories, digital libraries, and a strong focus on research and regional development, the university plays a pivotal role in advancing education and socio-economic progress.
Haseeb A. Gardezi, Executive Director of Pearl-Continental Hotel, Lahore & Education Division, Hashoo Group, said: “We are delighted to bring premium hospitality education to Southern Punjab in partnership with BZU. This initiative aligns with our vision of equipping Pakistan’s youth with world-class skills, practical learning experiences, and offer career opportunities in the hospitality sector. Our successful campuses in other cities have demonstrated the transformative impact of such programs, and we are confident this collaboration will open new horizons for the region’s talent.”
Dr. Zubair Iqbal, Vice Chancellor, Bahauddin Zakariya University, added:
“The hospitality and tourism industry is booming in Pakistan, and there is a growing need for skilled professionals to meet this demand. This envisioned partnership with HSHM enables us to offer top-tier, internationally recognized hospitality education right here in Multan. It will not only enhance career prospects for our students but also contribute to the socio-economic development of Southern Punjab.”
Pakistan is emerging as one of the fastest-growing tourist destinations, attracting both domestic and international travelers with its natural beauty, cultural heritage, and warm hospitality.
HSHM is committed to producing future industry leaders. Affiliated with the Confederation of Hospitality (CTH) in the UK, HSHM ensures alignment with international education standards being offered at its four campuses in all major cities of Pakistan.
