WNAM MONITORING; President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Resolution on the approval of the “Labor Market Development Concept in Turkmenistan until 2030” during the regular Cabinet of Ministers meeting on Friday, according to official Turkmen media.
The Concept and its Implementation Action Plan were presented by Deputy Prime Minister Hojamyrat Geldimyradov. The documents were prepared to implement the tasks outlined by the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, during the Halk Maslahaty session on September 24, 2024.
The Concept defines the goals, tasks, and key areas of labor market development. Among the priorities are increasing employment, improving legislation in line with international standards, and expanding the range of digital services in this field.
The Concept also includes the modernization of labor market data analysis methods, updating reporting forms, and strengthening cooperation with the International Labour Organization, including exploring opportunities to join its priority conventions.
The President emphasized that Turkmenistan places great importance on the systematic development of the labor market and instructed the authorities to ensure the effective implementation of the set goals.
The Cabinet of Ministers also addressed several other national issues, and appropriate decisions were made.
