WNAM REPORT: The delegation of Uzbekistan, led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov, took part in the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit in Doha, Qatar, Uzbekistan MFA reports.
As part of the forum, an address from President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to the participants of the summit was read out. In his address, the Head of State expressed solidarity with the brotherly people of Qatar and Muslim countries, firmly condemning military aggression that threatens peace and stability in the Middle East.
Uzbekistan reaffirmed its commitment to the principles of peaceful conflict resolution, diplomacy, and international law.
It was noted that the international community must take urgent measures to end the violence and prevent further escalation. It is also necessary to respect the legitimate right of the Palestinian people to establish an independent state in accordance with UN resolutions.
In addition, the Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized Uzbekistan’s readiness to provide humanitarian assistance to those affected, recalling the reception and support of a group of Palestinian citizens in the country.
“The summit serves as an important platform for demonstrating unity and developing effective joint solutions to ensure lasting peace and stability in the region”, the head of Uzbekistan’s MFA noted.
