ASTANA ( WNAM MONITORING): Muslim World League Secretary-General Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa was recently received by President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the Presidential Palace in Astana.
Al-Issa was awarded the Order of Friendship by Kazakhstan “in recognition of his efforts to strengthen friendship between peoples, consolidate interfaith cooperation, and promote religious understanding and peace,” Saudi Press Agency reported on Tuesday.
Al-Issa expressed his gratitude to Tokayev, viewing the recognition as a tribute to the league’s global efforts rooted in the values of Islam and its message of coexistence.
