ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT ): A high-level delegation from the Europe-Pakistan Economic Corridor (EPEC) visited Pakistan to explore avenues of collaboration and unlock new trade and investment opportunities between Europe, Pakistan, and other international markets.
The delegation, headed by Dr. Abdul Hafeez, Founder President of APPS & EPEC, held meetings with key stakeholders, including the Federal Pakistan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI), Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ICCI), International Islamic University (IIU), NUST Medical University, and Riphah International University.
During the meetings, Dr. Hafeez highlighted EPEC’s mission to promote seamless trade and investment flows between European markets and Pakistan’s industrial ecosystem. He emphasized Pakistan’s potential to cater to Europe’s massive demand for goods and services, worth over $2 trillion annually, across key sectors such as textiles, machinery, pharmaceuticals, IT, and professional services.
The delegation also focused on the importance of nurse career structure, qualifications, and capacity building, as well as the improvement of nursing schools and colleges. They also discussed the standard curriculum at par with modern system of education, with the use of AI in curriculum.
The EPEC delegation comprised Dr. Atif Shafique, Mrs. Parveen Ali, Gall Hull, Kathryn Bentley, Nina Khan, Dr. Abdur Rehman Abid, Dr. Ghulam Abbas, Ch. Mohammad Nawaz, Dr. Mati ur Rehman, and Mubasshar Hafeez.
The visit concluded with a sumptuous dinner hosted by Dr. Qazi Mujtaba Kamal at Islamabad Club, in honor of the EPEC delegates and officers of the Health Ministry.
