TEHRAN ( WNAM MONITORING):  Iran’s Defense Minister Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh says that the country’s missile capabilities are not negotiable.

During the visit at the home of former IRGC chief martyr Hossein Salami, Brigadier General Nasirzadeh emphasized the late commander’s foundational contributions to the IRGC Aerospace Force.

“Martyr Salami, alongside a group of senior commanders, was among the founders of the Aerospace Force, playing a decisive role in missile programs and the development of advanced defense technologies,” Nasirzadeh stated.

The defense minister further noted that Martyr Salami was a distinguished academic and expert within the IRGC’s military universities, possessing deep knowledge of emerging threats and contemporary defense challenges. This expertise translated into tangible advancements in the capabilities of the Aerospace Force.

Brigadier General Nasirzadeh added that Martyr Salami’s leadership, both during his tenure as Deputy Commander and later as Commander of the IRGC, significantly contributed to building a credible deterrent for Iran’s armed forces—a deterrence that was visibly effective during the 12-day conflict, compelling adversaries to seek a ceasefire.

“The missile capability of the Islamic Republic of Iran is not negotiable. No one in the Islamic Republic believes that the issue of missiles should be included in the scope of negotiations,” he stressed.
