WNAM MONITORING: Saudi aid agency KSrelief recently distributed food baskets to 384 families in the Hisarak and Behsud-e-Ajjam districts in Afghanistan’s Nangarhar Province, benefiting 2,304 returning migrants from Pakistan.
The assistance was provided as part of the organization’s Food Security and Emergency Support Project in Afghanistan and is part of the Kingdom’s ongoing humanitarian and relief efforts to support vulnerable and affected people around the world.
Elsewhere, food baskets were also given to 1,050 displaced Sudanese families returning from South Sudan as part of the Mudad Sudan Project for 2026. This forms part of the Kingdom’s efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Sudanese people amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
Since April 2023, Sudan has been in the grip of a war between the Sudan Armed Forces and Rapid Support Forces, with some of the worst violence currently unfolding in the country’s southern Kordofan region.
