ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT): Chairman Foreign Delegation Committee of the Islamabad Estate Agents Association, Chaudhry Mazhar, has said that the revival of the real estate sector is essential for achieving economic stability. He stated that under the current economic conditions, investment in the real estate sector is being severely affected due to uncertainty, heavy taxation, and complicated regulations, resulting in a slowdown in construction activities.
He added that the revival of the real estate sector would lead to an increase in government revenues, help address the housing shortage, and promote overall economic activity. He urged the government to introduce reforms in the tax system, ensure easy registration processes, establish transparent rules and regulations, and develop a long-term policy framework to restore investors’ confidence.
Chaudhry Mazhar emphasized that close cooperation between the government and the private sector is indispensable for sustainable economic growth, and the revival of the real estate sector can prove to be a significant step in this direction.
