ISLAMABAD ( WNAM REPORT): The 14th UAE Ambassador’s Cup Ramadan Football Tournament 2026 commenced in the federal capital with great enthusiasm, drawing a large and distinguished gathering of diplomats, senior officials, and football enthusiasts.
Organized by the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates, the annual tournament has become a hallmark sporting event during the holy month of Ramadan, symbolizing unity, goodwill, and cross-cultural harmony.
The vibrant opening ceremony was graced by the Ambassador of Kuwait, the Ambassador of Lebanon, the Ambassador of Zimbabwe, and the Deputy Head of Mission of the United States, alongside senior Pakistani government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, and media representatives.
It is noteworthy that the tournament is not merely a sporting competition but a platform to strengthen people-to-people contacts and deepen bonds among diverse communities residing in Pakistan. The event reflects the spirit of Ramadan — promoting compassion, solidarity, and healthy engagement.
A total of 10 teams will compete in 22 matches throughout the tournament, promising thrilling encounters and vibrant participation. Over the years, the UAE Ambassador’s Cup has evolved into a cherished tradition in Islamabad’s sporting calendar, reinforcing friendship and mutual understanding among participating nations.
