In many countries, particularly those fighting energy crisis, markets,shops,plazas and almost all business centres open with the first sun light in the morning and shut down at sunset. In this way consumption of a lot of electricity has been reduced for tiding over energy crisis . Why cannot we follow suit and do exactly the same. Unfortunately, there is ruthless consumption of electricity in our bazaars and market places.
POST SCRIPT
The powers that be have umpteen times fixed deadlines for sending those Afghan nationals back to their country who have been staying here illegally but in vain. As those deadlines were never implemented in letter and spirit in the past. There is a dire need of setting up an immigration system akin to the one put in place in the US after nine eleven. A strict visa regime for the Afghans desirous of coming to Pakistan is the need of the hour. The authorities must know that the Afghan visitors coming to Pakistan on visa return to their country after the expiry of their visa period and the visa given to them be restricted to the cities they desire to visit instead of giving them blanket permission to travel all over Pakistan . Only through this way the entry of terrorists could be controlled in the country.
