Kazakhstan President removes PM, dissolves government

WNAM MONITORING: Kazakh Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed a decree dismissing Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov and dissolving his government.

By decree, Roman Sklyar has been charged with the responsibilities of the interim Prime Minister.

The government members are to remain in temporary charge until new appointments are made.

The decree takes effect on the day of its signing.
