Korea Week “K-WAVE Festa” to Bring Vibrant Korean Culture, K-Pop & K-Beauty to Islamabad

Islamabad ( WNAM REPORT ): The Embassy of the Republic of Korea is set to host a vibrant cultural celebration titled “K-WAVE Festa” on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Serena Hotel, Islamabad, offering the public a unique opportunity to experience the rich and dynamic culture of Korea.
The event, part of Korea Week festivities, will transform the SBC Lawn into a lively hub of cultural exchange, creativity, and entertainment. Open to all with free entry and no pre-registration required, the festival aims to bring the spirit of Korea closer to the people of Pakistan.
A key highlight of the event will be the “All About Korea” segment, featuring engaging promotional booths by leading Korean organizations and companies including Samsung, Lotte Kolson, KOICA, KOPIA, and HRD Korea. Visitors will be able to explore Korea’s innovation, development initiatives, and cultural heritage through interactive displays.
The festival will also offer immersive cultural experiences led by the King Sejong Institute, including introductory Korean language sessions, traditional Najeon craft activities, and a hands-on Hanbok experience. Attendees can further enjoy K-pop themed fan club activities, K-beauty promotions, traditional Korean games, food experiences, and tourism showcases.
An exclusive K-Beauty Master Class from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM will provide insights into Korean beauty trends, featuring personal color analysis and K-idol makeup styling. The session will be broadcast live on digital screens at the venue and streamed via social media platforms, allowing wider audience engagement.
The evening will culminate in the K-POP Festival – National Preliminary Round from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, where talented performers will compete in vocal and dance categories. The festival will also feature a special stage performance by a winning team from the 2025 competition.
Adding to the excitement, the opening ceremony will include a special K-pop performance by Faryal Amber, promising an energetic start to the festivities.
The Embassy of the Republic of Korea has invited the public to join this colorful celebration and experience firsthand the global phenomenon of Korean culture, music, and lifestyle in the heart of Islamabad.
